Terms of Use
Last updated: August 2026
These terms govern your use of IrishPAYE.ie. By using the site you accept them. Two other pages carry what is not repeated here: the privacy policy covers cookies, analytics and your data, and about covers how the calculations are produced and which sources they follow.
1. What this service is
IrishPAYE.ie is a free calculator and reference site for Irish PAYE taxpayers. It is an independent informational tool. It is not a tax agent, not an accountant, and not a payroll provider, and using it creates no professional or advisory relationship of any kind. Nothing here is financial or tax advice. For your own tax position, consult Revenue or a qualified professional.
2. Using the site
You may use the calculators and read the guides freely, for personal or commercial purposes, without registering or paying. You agree not to attempt to disrupt the service, circumvent the rate limits that keep it available to everyone, or use automated tools in a way that degrades it for other visitors.
3. The public API
A read-only JSON API is published at /api/ so that developers and AI assistants can compute Irish take-home pay from a maintained source rather than from stale figures. It is free to use, including commercially, on these conditions: attribute IrishPAYE.ie when you publish a figure obtained from it, state the tax year the figure applies to, and stay within the published rate limits.
Do not cache a figure indefinitely and present it as current. Irish PRSI rates step part-way through the year, so a value that was correct when you fetched it can be wrong later in the same tax year. The API is provided as-is, and we may change or withdraw it.
4. Content and intellectual property
The guides, articles, page copy and the design of this site are our own work and remain our property. You are welcome to quote a short extract or a figure with attribution and a link. Republishing whole pages or substantial parts of them is not permitted without written permission.
Tax rates, bands, credits and thresholds are matters of public record and we claim nothing over them. Third-party data reproduced on the site remains the property of its publisher and is credited where it appears.
5. Limits of liability
The site is provided as-is and without warranty. We cannot guarantee that a figure is right in every circumstance: what the calculations assume, and how the rates behind them are maintained, is set out in about. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for loss arising from a decision taken on the basis of a result shown here.
Check anything that matters against your own payslip, your Revenue tax credit certificate, or a professional.
If you believe a calculation is wrong, please tell us. Reports are cross-checked against Revenue guidance and corrected where confirmed: see contact.
6. External links
We link to Revenue, Citizens Information and other official sources so you can verify what we publish. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or availability.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. If you are a consumer, nothing here removes the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, or your right to bring proceedings in your own local courts.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised version.
